Situated in the southern portion of Kentucky, Auburn is a Logan County city with a population of almost 1,500 people. The city was incorporated by the Kentucky General Assembly in 1865 and reincorporated in 1878. The city was originally named Federal Grove but was changed to Auburn in the 1860s.

Despite being a smaller city, there are many things to see and do around Auburn. The city is home to many museums such as the Auburn Museum and the Shaker Museum. The Auburn Museum is filled with many exciting exhibits that display the city’s rich history and culture. Individuals who are looking to spend time outdoors will enjoy visiting Auburn Park. The park is home to baseball fields, a skateboard park, a walking track, and much more, all surrounded by beautiful scenery that is unique to Auburn. During the fall, individuals will enjoy taking a drive outside of town to explore Just Piddlin Farm. Visitors are welcome to experience the peaceful atmosphere of the farm and roam through the large pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkin to take home.

Auburn is located in a moderate humid subtropical climate, meaning the summers are warm and precipitation is plenty all year. June, July, and August are the typically the warmest months of the year. Daytime temperature highs during these months range from the mid to upper-80s on average. However, it is not uncommon for thermostat readings to climb well into the 100s.
